Seminário "The role of electron transfer in sugar-phosphate units: Evaluation of single strand breaks and their implications"

10-02-2011

Abstract

Dissociative Electron Attachment (DEA) is recognized has a major contributor in the nascent states of cellular DNA radiolysis. The fragmentation of isolated nucleobases, by electrons in the energy range of ~0 to <10 eV, has been identified as the cause of single and double strand breaks in DNA.
