From June 24 to 26 the first international meeting of RaBBiT - Radiation Biology and Biophysics Doctoral Training Programme as well as the Laboratory and Radiation Safety Workshop will be held at FCT/UNL. These events aim to disseminate the research being done by the affiliated research laboratories. Researchers from international partner institutions will be present at the meeting.

Carla Gonçalves and Pedro Almeida, PhD students of the Yeast Genomics Lab, are the first authors of a study coordinated by Paula Gonçalves e José Paulo Sampaio that involved the genome sequencing of more than 60 strains of Saccharomyces uvarum, a yeast used for the production of wine and cider.
