The Erasmus Programme is one for community action in education aiming to:
The ERASMUS endeavour aims to promote quality and reinforce the European dimension in higher education, supporting transnational cooperation between Universities, namely through the facilitation of European mobility in higher education, with a view to improvement, transparency and academic recognition of studies and qualifications across Europe.
Participating countries are the European Union 27 Member States, plus a number of associated countries, namely Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, Serbia and North Macedonia.
The ERASMUS mobility offers NOVA students the opportunity of carrying out a period of study, with full academic recognition, at one of the partner Universities.
In addition to benefiting from a rewarding academic and personal experience, the ERASMUS student also acquires a set of professional assets that will contribute to the growth of an increasingly united Europe, in cultural, linguistic and educational diversity.
