VINEAS is the result of the MEDCLIV project led in Portugal by NOVA School of Science and Technology, co-financed by EIT Climate-KI, which unites five countries in the Mediterranean region, one of the most affected by climate change.
In the 1st Edition, the congress had 350 participants from more than 15 health courses and 20 institutions from all over the country.
This is NOVA School of Science and Technology's third work that reaches the podium of the IN3 + Prize, promoted by the Imprensa Nacional - Casa da Moeda.
"This is the biggest international engineering award, which distinguishes the work developed by women engineers around the world", highlights the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, in a note published on the Presidency portal.
The program, organized in collaboration with the Departments, Research Units and Students Association, has more than 60 activities between quizzes, workshops, and experiences that, in a fun way, allow participants to feel what it is like to be an engineer and scientist and what it is like to study at NOVA School of Science and Technology.
“I leave Pitch Bootcamp with a more distinct sense of my skills and how I can best present myself to the business world”, commented Rodrigo Trovão, Master's student in Renewable Energy Engineering.
The deadline for submitting applications is 30 June.
With the Campus of NOVA School of Science and Technology as its central point, the Innovation District places knowledge, qualified talent, and innovation as an engine for urban development and transformation.

NOVA's team of 11 athletes also won two silver and bronze medals.

This is the second time that a researcher from this School has been awarded the Pessoa Prize.
