Invitation regarding the special issue "Chemistry Open", journal by Wiley

The Wiley publisher, together with "ChemPucSoc Europe", asked the Professors of the Chemistry Department of FCT NOVA, Carlos Lodeiro and José Luís Capelo, to organize a special issue on "Translational Chemistry" in the journal Chemistry Open.

This special issue is open to the participation of the entire scientific community that uses Chemistry as a tool in their work, namely to Scientists in the areas of Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Conservation and Restoration, Materials Engineering. All of these are invited to contribute an article of your choice (Review / Minireview / Full Paper / Communication) for this special issue. The general requirements for individual contributions can be found in Notice to the Authors, which will give an idea of the guidelines practiced by Wiley. Professors Carlos Lodeiro and José Luis Capelo of the Faculty of Science and Technology of UNL will be the Guest Editors.

The term "Translational Research" was applied first to any interdisciplinary field involving biomedical fields. Broadening this idea to chemistry, "Translational Chemistry" combines all the scientific disciplines that use chemistry as a tool. Currently, chemical science integrates all areas of chemistry (ie, organic, inorganic, analytical and physical chemistry) along with translational applications to other more specific areas (such as biochemistry, biological chemistry, forensics, pharmaceutical chemistry, medicinal chemistry , Environmental chemistry, chemical engineering, materials chemistry and nanotechnology), which directly affect the economic development of countries and continents.

Wiley accepts manuscripts by October 31, 2017 for www.editorialmanager.com/chemopen
