On April 2, Miguel Macias Sequeira, a researcher at CENSE, NOVA FCT, was honored with the Medal of Merit by the Lumiar Parish Council.
The Medal of Merit is awarded to individuals or entities who have distinguished themselves through exceptional service and contributions to the progress and prestige of the Parish, Region, or Country.
During the ceremony, the President of the Lumiar Parish Council, Ricardo Mexia, highlighted the researcher’s significant contributions to the creation of the Telheiras/Lumiar Renewable Energy Community, an innovative project focused on the local production and sharing of solar energy.
The award was presented as part of the 759th anniversary celebrations of the Lumiar Parish Council.
