On March 25 and 26, the inauguration ceremonies for the newly elected members of the Order of Engineers for the next three-year term took place.
Fernando Pinho, professor at the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), and Elvira Fortunato, professor at the Department of Materials Science (DCM), took office on March 25 as members of the Admission and Qualification Council for Civil Engineering and Materials Engineering, respectively, as part of the National Bodies of the Order.
Paulo Sá Caetano, professor at the Department of Earth Sciences, also took office that day as President of the National College of Geological and Mining Engineering.
On March 26, Paulina Faria, also from DEC, assumed the role of Deputy Delegate of the Setúbal District Delegation during the inauguration ceremony of the Southern Region Bodies. In the same session, Luís Pereira, from DCM, took office as Regional Member of the College of Materials Engineering.
The participation of our professors in these bodies reinforces the excellence and recognition of NOVA FCT faculty and researchers in the field of Engineering in Portugal.
