NOVA FCT has secured funding for 72 new hires under the first edition of the FCT-Tenure competition, promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology.
These new hires will join the NOVA FCT community, contributing to the development of Science, Engineering, and Technology in both research and teaching.
The provisional results of the application evaluations were announced on 14 August. Of the 1,100 positions provisionally selected for funding, 702 are for research careers and 398 for teaching careers.
This new funding instrument from FCT, IP, was designed to promote the hiring of PhD holders exclusively for permanent positions. The first edition had a total budget of 197 million euros, financed by the State Budget and the RE-C06-i06 – Science and Skills Investment, funded by the PRR.
