Rodrigo Martins awarded with Honorary Professor Title by Prestigious Chinese Universities

Rodrigo Martins, professor and researcher at the Department of Materials Science of NOVA FCT, has recently been bestowed with the honorary title of Professor by Wuhan University of Technology  and the Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

These two institutions stand as exemplars of academic excellence within China. The Institute of Materials at Wuhan University of Technology is the top-ranked institute in the field of Materials among the 4500 institutes in the country and the fifth-best institute in China overall. Likewise, the Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences at the Chinese Academy of Sciences is acclaimed as the second best in all of China in the field of sciences.

This distinction serves to acknowledge the remarkable academic and research contributions of Professor Rodrigo Martins, who has authored over 700 papers throughout his career and has garnered more than 14 international and national awards and distinctions for his outstanding work over the past decade.

Beyond his role as a professor at NOVA FCT, Rodrigo Martins also assumes the positions of Director at the Centre of Excellence in Microelectronics and Optoelectronic Processes of the Institute for the Development of New Technologies (CEMOP/UNINOVA), as well as President of the European Academy of Sciences (EURASC) and the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS).
