The Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome (Food Bank Against Hunger) counted once more with the members of the FCT NOVA community in the campaign of food collection that took place in the district of Setúbal, in the weekend of 6 and 7 May.
More than 40 volunteers from our institution, including 36 students, joined with dedication and contagious enthusiasm the remaining participants involved in this initiative.
The FCT NOVA volunteers in this solidarity action were Miguel Milheiro, Ana Mendes, André Sousa, António Torres, Ascenção Reis, Beatriz Mariz, Bernardo Anacleto, Bernardo Ribeiro, Bruna Fernandes, Daniela Lima, Diana Pinho, Diogo Mateus, Dora Gomes, Eva Hryshyna, Filipa Silva, Filipe Pinto, Francisca Oliveira, Francisco Duarte, Gonçalo Martins, Guilherme Frazão, Hugo Palma, Joana Duarte, Joana Serafim, João Balau, João Pinto, João Santos, Luís Silva, Maria do Céu Soares, Mariana Gomes, Marianne Moraes, Marlene Leite, Miguel Martins, Pedro Ferreira, Pedro Lamas, Rafael Lamberto, Reinaldo Martinez, Sérgio Monteiro, Sofia Assis, Sofia Cambim, Tiago Lima.
At national level, the Campaign raised more than 1,719 tons of provisions and involved around 40,000 volunteers and 2,000 commercial surfaces throughout the country, where food was donated to help 400,000 people.
The campaign continues until May 14th through vouchers available in all supermarkets and also online at www.alimentestaideia.pt, where it is possible to donate non-perishable goods.
