The PhD student of the Department of Civil Engineering at the NOVA School of Science and Technology | NOVA FCT, David Manta, recently received an honorable mention in the “Sarada M. and Raju A. Vinnakota” Prize.
The award, attributed by the Structural Stability Research Council, USA, distinguished the article "On the combination of shell and GBT-based beam finite elements", supervised and co-authored by Professors Rodrigo Gonçalves and Dinar Camotim.
The Vinnakota Prize celebrates the most promising students who carry out structural stability research.
