Between January 20 and 22, the NOVA School of Science and Technology hosts once again the Mathmasters winter school.
This edition will be completely online and will feature sessions where current topics of research in Pure Mathematics, the professional practice of Mathematics Teaching and also various topics in applied areas such as Actuarial Mathematics, Operational Research, Financial Mathematics, Statistics and Big Data Analysis and Engineering. Additionally, a session dedicated to Statistics for Health (dedicated to the specific master's degree in this area) will take place.
The winter school is aimed at everyone who wants to enter a master's degree in this scientific area. At Mathmasters, participants will have the opportunity to discover a little about the content studied in the various master's degrees offered by the Department of Mathematics (DM) or promoted by DM in collaboration with other departments. It will in addition be a privileged mean of contacting professors in this scientific area and students of these master's degrees.
