Beatriz Neves, Carolina Castro, João Colaço and Xavier Simões, students of the NOVA School of Science and Technology, are part of the NOVA Tennis team that achieved good results in the National University Tennis Championship by Teams.
The female team became the National University Team Champion for the fourth time, in a race in which NOVA equally took the 2nd place. In turn, one of the three male teams enrolled, composed of 3 first-time students, all from the 1st year of graduation and holders of a High Performance Statute, won the 2nd place in the competition, which is illustrative of the talent they have emerged at NOVA through new methods of supporting students practicing sports in high competition.
In the second semester, these athletes return to the court to dispute the individual National University Championship. In the summer, the women's team is already qualified and will represent NOVA in the European Championships, to be played in Serbia in 2021.
