The Sarada M. and Raju A. Vinnakota Prize, awarded by the Structural Stability Research Council, USA, distinguished the article "Local buckling of RHS members with small-to-large radii subject to combinations of axial force and biaxial bending".
The article by the doctoral student, Luís João Ferreira Vieira, had the orientation and co-authorship of Professors Rodrigo Gonçalves and Dinar Camotim.
The article was presented at the SSRC Annual Stability Conference, held in Saint Louis, Missouri, April 2-5, 2019.
This award aims to distinguish the best article from the authorship of a student and presented at the conference.
