One of the economic sectors with higher impact to the consumer is the food sector, imposing the need to guarantee food safety from production to consumer. Given its relevance, this theme was discussed in the RTP2 program “Sociedade Civil”, on 26th march 2018, with the participation of the General-Inspector of ASAE (Pedro Portugal Gaspar), of the Diretor of the Quality Department of AHRESP (Susana Leitão), and of Professor Ana Luisa Fernando, from the Department of Sciences and Technology of Biomass (DCTB, FCT NOVA), who spoke on the implementation of food safety management systems and tools to be used by all actors in the food chain to prevent food safety hazards.
