FCT NOVA receives international specialist in Management and Risk Analysis for Human Health of contaminated sites

Atul M. Salhotra, PhD, Civil Engineer, will be at FCT NOVA from February 26 to 28, as part of the course "Risk Assessment & Risk Based Decision Making " at invitation of the Department of Earth Sciences.

The course is aimed for specialists working in the area of ​​geo-environmental engineering, in particular, in projects and engineering works involving environmental re-qualification and management of contaminated areas, in urban and / or industrial environment and in land-use planning.

On the 25th February, he will participate at the headquarters of the South Region of the Order of Engineers in Lisbon, at the lecture entitled "Application of Risk Assessment for the Management of Contaminated Sites", organized in collaboration with the South Regional Council of the College of Geological and Mining Engineering.

Atul M. Salhotra is President of Risk Assessment & Management Group (RAM Group), Inc. (Texas, USA), is a specialist in risk assessment and management of contaminated sites, with several specializations in the area of ​​Geological Engineering, of Geoenvironmental domain.
