The Master Degree Student in Biotechnology, Catarina Isabel Parente Chaparro won a scholarship of 12.000,00 € from the Portuguese League against Cancer - PFIZER to develop the work entitled "Development of a Therapeutic System for breast cancer based on SPION's", under the guidance of Professors João Paulo Borges, Department of Materials Science (DCM) and Paula Videira, Department of Life Sciences (DCV).
This work results from an existing collaboration between DCM, DCV and Dr. Carlos Novo of the IHMT, and is a continuation of the work begun in DCM with the doctoral thesis of Post-doc Paula Soares.
