The NOVA University of Lisbon once again participated in the National University Championships, this time in Athletics in the Road Race (10km) held in Leiria on 9th April 2017.
The team consisted of 13 students representing NMS | FCM, NOVASBE, FCSH and FCT NOVA: António Pereira, Francisco Pires, Gonçalo Casimiro, Mara Martinho, Maria Pires, Mário Ferreira, Rui Gominho, João Rebelo, Vasco Gaspar and Coach Paulo Barrigana. From FCT NOVA came the students André Simões, Diogo Lucas, Emil Veloso, Marcos Estrela, and Ricardo Belchior.
This team won the 2nd place in the collective classification, due to the spirit of mutual aid. Students from were involved. The student Mário Ferreira won the Bronze medal.
This Team will again compete in the Open Air Track Championships in Faro on May 14, 2017.
