The Universidade NOVA from Lisboa is ranked in the 41st position in the 2016/17 edition of the "QS Top 50 under 50", up four places from the previous year.
This ranking, one of the most important for world universities with less than 50 years, is based on the known results and reputed QS World University Rankings that NOVA had already been included, for the fourth consecutive year the only Portuguese university present among the 50 best.
The QS World University Rankings - from which is extracted the QS Top 50 under 50 - is published annually based on the analysis of about 3,800 universities around the world and various indicators such as academic reputation, reputation of employers, number quotes, teacher-student ratio, international faculty and international students.
