Last June 30th, a presentation session on the results of the R & D project called "Test equipment for measuring moisture real-time paper packaging bales / card" was held in the auditorium of the library of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT NOVA).
The project is the responsibility of Professor Ana Silveira, professor at the FCT NOVA, was funded by the “Sociedade Ponto Verde” (SPV) and the public presentation of the results counted with the presence of the Waste Management Systems (SGRU) and packaging recovering companies. The welcome session was attended by the Dean of FCT NOVA, Professor Fernando Santana, followed by a presentation on the role of SPV in quality assurance for the recycling of paper / cardboard in SIGRE made by Eng. João Letras, Director of the SPV Waste Management.
The main objective of the project was to test a device for measuring the moisture of paper packaging bales / alternative card to measuring the moisture in the oven. The results of this project allow make it easy and quick control of the / cardboard bale moisture and, in the case of a non-destructive method has the advantage of allowing the traceability of the burdens of moisture in the value chain.
