The Research Centre for Environment and Sustainability (CENSE), of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, organizes the 22th International Annual Conference of the Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS) to be held in Lisbon (UNL Rectory) between the 13 an d 15 July 15, 2016.
Associated with this conference it was organized in partnership with the University of São Paulo (Brazil), the 1st Luso-Brazilian Symposium on Sustainability Models and Practices held at the Faculty of Science and Technology at Caparica Campus on 11 and 12 July 2016.
The ISDRS is a non-profit organization, managed by its members, and is currently an international network of over 600 researchers and professionals in the field of sustainable development, spread across all continents.
The main objectives of ISDRS include the development of research and knowledge generation, and the production, dissemination and sharing of information on methodologies and practices that promote sustainable development in public policies and organizations.
The 22th ISDRS Conference 2016 and the 1st Luso-Brazilian Symposium on Sustainability Business and Practices aim to provide a scientific forum for debate and discussion nature aspects applied in the field of sustainable development, which is relevant for researchers, policy makers, organizations of technical public and professional firms and other private organizations. By tradition it is a conference that promotes interaction between theory and practice, between the public and private sectors, between different levels of decision (international, national, regional and local) and between countries and regions of the world who have knowledge and experience relevant to share.
