This project embraces the ambition of an entire business sector in Portugal, the one of the metal building manufacturing, whose importance to the national economy has proved to be vital thanks to the enormous dynamics of companies acting in this area and to its strong export component. The objectives of the "Portugal Steel” project are, among others, to alert the public and the private decision-makers, both at local and at national level, through the recognition of the benefits of metal building systems and of the advantages of a strategic investment in this important academic sector. The need to generate and to promote a brand representing the entire sector thus promoting an image of increased value, is another important objective.
