No dia 3 de junho, o Professor Luís Carlos Silva irá lecionar no DEC uma aula aberta sobre análise mecânica de materiais.
A Rigid-Body-Spring-Model (RBSM) is presented for the mechanical analysis of materials. The fundamental unit cell is based on a heuristic molecular approach composed of shaped atoms that interact through spring-based bonds. To describe the desired macroscopic response, the relationship with different continuum materials is provided, ranging from a standard isotropic Cauchy solid to an isotropic Cosserat solid.
