Researchers from NOVA FCT win the YERUN Research Mobility Award

30-01-2025

Dorina Papanastasiou, researcher at CENIMAT|i3N, and Irene Pérez-Ramírez, researcher at CENSE, were two of the winners of the YERUN Research Mobility Awards 2024/2025.

Dorina Papanastasiou’s project, in collaboration with Dr. Muhammad Shafique from Brunel University London, aims to combine printed electronics and life cycle assessment (LCA) in a pioneering study to evaluate the performance and environmental impact of sustainable printed heaters – the SPhED (Sustainable Printed Heaters Evaluation and Development) project.

Irene Pérez-Ramírez won with the project "Exploring Human-Nature Relationships and the Role of Nature-Based Solutions in Agriculture," which aims to explore the relationships between humans and nature in agricultural contexts across three countries – Finland, Portugal, and Spain – assessing the role of Nature-Based Solutions in promoting biodiversity, sustainability, and well-being. Through this collaboration, the team seeks to generate actionable insights into the motivations, emotions, and perceptions that influence sustainable practices.

YERUN (Young European Research Universities Network) is a network of highly ranked young universities in Europe, promoting excellence in research and collaboration.
