The prestigious ShanghaiRanking has just announced the results of its Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS). NOVA FCT has excelled in the field of Mechanical Engineering, ranking first in Portugal in the performance indicator impact of standardised citations and among the top 200 in the world.
NOVA FCT also won a prestigious place in the area of Food Science and Technology, making it into the top 300 in the world. In the area of Biotechnology, it is among the 400 best higher education institutions in this discipline.
This ranking reinforces NOVA FCT's position, both nationally and internationally, as a Higher Education Institution committed to research, teaching and value creation.
The GRAS rankings use a series of objective academic indicators and third-party data to measure the performance of world universities in their respective disciplines, including research output, research influence, international collaboration, research quality and international academic awards.
