Elvira Fortunato, professor and researcher in the Department of Materials Science at NOVA FCT and deputy coordinator of CENIMAT/i3N, has been awarded the Scientific Merit Medal 2024. The award was presented by the President of the Foundation for Science and Technology, Madalena Alves, during the Science Meeting, which took place from July 3 to 5 in Porto.
The Scientific Merit Medal aims to honor national or foreign individuals who, due to their high professional qualities and dedication to duty, have made a valuable contribution to the development of science or scientific culture in Portugal.
The award was received by José Fernando Mendes, deputy coordinator of i3N, who attended the meeting.
