Nélia Câmara is the new Director of NOVA FCT Executive School

Nélia Câmara assumes directorship of NOVA FCT School of Executives. With more than 20 years of solid experience in Global Management of complex multicultural and multidisciplinary projects, with great expertise in leading teams, Nélia Câmara now combines this role to her career and her position as Chair of the Faculty Council of NOVA FCT.

As Director of the School of Executives, Nélia Câmara will be responsible for the management, development and promotion of this school of NOVA FCT that has as core mission the updating and transfer of knowledge in the areas of science and technology through the cooperation between teachers and researchers of the Faculty and professionals with practical experience in the market.

"Lifelong knowledge acquisition is an imperative in a dynamic and unpredictable world - it allows to align skills to (current and future) needs contributing to a faster and more effective but also less costly adaptation. The importance and the impact of Science and Technology are transversal to all sectors and industries offering several opportunities but also a greater responsibility of all the intervening parties. NOVA FCT, being a school oriented for training and research of excellence, possesses the ideal conditions (as well as the responsibility) to contribute in an even more significant way and with greater impact in the transfer of knowledge to society", says the new Director of the School for Executives.

Nélia Câmara was Global Director at Mercer until the end of 2022, of a business area with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team of more than 1500 employees. Her professional career spans more than 20 years in leadership positions in national and multinational companies. Until 2001 she was a guest lecturer at NOVA FCT, ISEG and Universidade Lusíada and co-founder of the neuroleadership course for PWN Lisbon.
