More than 200 researchers from MARE- Centre for Marine and Environmental Sciences from all over the country will gather this October 7th in the Grand Auditorium of NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA, in Caparica Campus.
Researchers, technicians, science managers and students will participate in this event of reflection on the MARE community, which involves members of the Regional Units of the NOVA University Lisbon , University of Lisbon, ISPA, University of Coimbra, Polytechnic of Leiria, University of Évora and ARDITI-Madeira.
During the morning, MARE's PhD members will meet in a Scientific Council, while the non-PhD members will get together for the first time to reflect on the challenges of their work and future expectations. In the afternoon, they will discuss the contribution of MARE's Regional Units to excellence in marine science. The event ends with a lunch-party by Chef Patrícia Borges of the Polytechnic of Leiria, also a MARE researcher, which will be joined by some products resulting from MARE projects and partnerships, such as the percebe and blackberry pâté, the smoked ray or the famous Renda Doce de Peniche biscuits.
