The eBreathie project was the winner of the 2022 edition of the Hintt prize promoted by Glint, in the "Startup Innovation" category.
Filipa Rebelo, alumna of Biomedical Engineering at NOVA School of Science and Technology, Ana Rita Rebelo, PhD student in Computer Science at FCT NOVA, and Ana Rita Constante (pediatrician), developed an intelligent inhaler that intends to help patients and health professionals to monitor Asthma.
In addition to the Hintt Award in the "Startup Innovation" category, the team also won the "Born from Knowledge Awards", presented by the National Innovation Agency.
The HINTT | Digital Maturity Award goal is to recognise and disseminate best practices in the adoption of information and communication technologies (ICT), with a view to approaching a paperless environment leading to relevant gains for patient safety, clinical decision support and overall efficiency. The "Born from Knowledge Awards" distinguish projects that "are born from knowledge" and the companies that stand out in R&D activities.
This year, the team had already been the winner of the NOVA Startup Competition 2022, promoted by NOVA Impact Office.
