Pedro Casinha, student of the Biomedical Engineering undergraduate degree of NOVA School of Science and Technology, became the world champion in the K1 200m event of the World University Canoeing Championship, which took place on 17, 18 and 19 September, in Poland.
The student, who represented the Portuguese team, also won two more silver medals, in the 200m races in K4 and K2.
