NOVA School of Science and Technology wins ECOVALOR program, an environmental education campaign dedicated exclusively to the school community, promoted by Amarsul.

884 schools from all over the country have participated, collecting in total 1,684 tons of paper and cardboard, 609 tons of plastic, metal and drink packs and 255 tons of glass. FCT NOVA managed to achieve 17 tons of collected waste, guaranteeing the first place in this competition.

The Ecovalor Programme seeks to promote good environmental practices in educational establishments, rewarding those with the best performance in recycling their used packages. In addition to awareness-raising actions, this programme ensures selective collection, bags and supports and includes the "Separate and Win" competition.

The School assumes sustainability as one of its commitments and has been implementing measures to stimulate and inspire the community to be more aware and participative and to adopt more environmentally friendly behaviours.
