NOVA University Lisbon rose 62 places in the QS World University Rankings 2023, occupying now the position 369, of a total of 1422 university institutions from all over the world that managed to meet the criteria to participate in the ranking.
In total, between 3 000 and 4 000 universities out of the existing 30 000 are analysed, but only those 1422 meet its demanding criteria to enter the ranking.
Among the factors that most contributed to this evolution of NOVA are the indicator related to International Students and the Citations per Faculty.
This year, the QS World University Rankings 2023 also has two new indicators, which are still in a pilot phase and, therefore, did not count for the calculation of the final position in the ranking. However, they already place NOVA in prominent places. To highlight the 190 position in the world, in the International Research Network index, a result that reflects NOVA's capacity to diversify its international research networks, establishing sustainable partnerships with other institutions worldwide.
