“Building the Future with Science” is this year’s motto for Ciência ‘22 (Science '22), the annual meeting of science and technology in Portugal, which takes place at the Lisbon Congress Center, from May 16 to 18.
This edition is part of the commemorations of the 25th anniversary of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), and aims to reflect on the active participation of the scientific community and the future of science in Portugal and Europe, through debates and presentations of ideas and partnerships.
With internationally recognized speakers, including Portuguese and Egyptian lecturers, as Egypt is the invited country, the event will also celebrate the National Day of Scientists and honor José Mariano Gago.
Ciência 2022 is the largest event in the field of science and technology, in collaboration with the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture - Ciência Viva, and has the support of the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education and the Parliamentary Committee of Education, Science, Youth and Sports and Science.
The commissioners are Teresa Pinto Correia, Researcher at the Associated Laboratory Change and Full Professor at the University of Évora, and Teresa Ferreira, Researcher at the Associated Laboratory TERRA and Full Professor at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia.
