Rodrigo Gonçalves, professor and researcher at the Department of Civil Engineering at NOVA School of Science and Technology, received an honorable mention at the 2019 Ferry Borges Award.
The award distinguished the article "GBTUL 2.0 – a second-generation code for the GBT-based buckling and vibration analysis of thin-walled members", published in 2018 in the Thin-Walled Structures magazine, co-authored by Rui Bebiano and Dinar Camotim.
The Ferry Borges Scientific Prize is awarded every three years and intendeds to reward work that disseminates knowledge in the field of structural engineering, developed in conjunction with Portuguese entities. It was conceived by the Portuguese Association of Structural Engineering (APEE) in 1998, in collaboration with the National Civil Engineering Laboratory (LNEC) and the Ordem dos Engenheiros.
