Elvira Fortunato is the winner of the “Portugal's Women's Leadership Award”

Elvira Fortunato, professor and researcher at the Departmente of Materials Science, is the winner of the “Portugal's Women's Leadership Award”. This international award aims to distinguish women around the world who stand out in different areas of activity. In Portugal, the choice fell on Elvira Fortunato, recognizing the pioneering work of the researcher and Vice-Rector of the NOVA University Lisbon in the area of ​​Science and Technology.

The prize is awarded on October 29th, as part of the "Global Summit of Women", taking place in Lisbon, from October 28th to 30th, organized by The GlobeWomen Research and Education Institute.

“It is with great satisfaction that I receive this international award. In addition to recognizing the work I have developed over the years in the area of ​​sustainable materials, which includes paper electronics, it is also a way of promoting gender equality, which has been a strong focus of the NOVA University Lisbon in recent years. ”, says Elvira Fortunato.
