Maria Paula Diogo Commissioner at Anthropocene Summit 2021

The Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education recently announced the holding of the Anthropocene Summit 2021 conference, one of the flagship initiatives of the Ministry under the Portuguese Presidency of the European Union, which will be curated by Maria Paula Diogo, professor and researcher at  the NOVA School of Science and Technology.

The conference, organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education and the Ciência Viva Agency at the Foz Côa Museum, will take place in April 2021 for three days. The meeting will feature keynote speakers in the field of research on the Anthropocene, a space for institutional debate for policymakers, and a space of a pedagogical nature that will include the participation of several schools in the European Union.

The co-chair of the Anthropocene Summit 2021 is the President of the Foz Côa Foundation and also a member of CIUHCT - Interuniversity Center for the History of Science and Technology Scientific Committee - Bruno Navarro and the Scientific and Organizing Committee integrates other members of CIUHCT and the Department of Applied Social Sciences at the NOVA School of Science and Technology.
