The importance and challenges of science and technology in pandemic times at the Science 2020 Meeting

From the 2nd to the 4th of November, the Ciência 2020 Meeting returns to the Lisbon Congress Center, in Belém. The motto of this year's edition will be the importance and challenges of science, research, and innovation in the recovery of Portugal in pandemic times, to make our country and Europe more resilient, more digital, greener, more social, and more global.

In a preview of this initiative, three warm-up sessions will take place, the first on the 14th October, Wednesday, from 11 am to 1 pm, at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento. The President of the Foundation for Science and Technology, Helena Pereira, will be present.

The panel of the section "Recover Portugal with more knowledge, jobs and digital transformation" will be formed by Cátia Batista (Associate Professor at the NOVA School of Business and Economics), Célia Reis (CEO of Altran), Liliana Ferreira (Executive Director of Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS) and Rodrigo Rodrigues (IST Full Professor and INESC - ID Researcher).

The session will be broadcasted live via YouTube and will be moderated by the co-commissioners of the Science 2020 Meeting Helena Canhão (NOVA Medical School) and Pedro Oliveira (Copenhagen Business School and NOVA School of Business and Economics).
