Scientific Snacks:Paleo Talks

Miguel Bastos Araújo, Pémio Pessoa 2018, and winner of the Ernst Haeckel Prize also in 2018, is the next guest of the Scientific Snacks (Paleo Talks), on the 15th of June, with the lecture “Understanding Species Diversity: Ecological and Evolutionary Approaches”.

Every Monday, at 5 pm, the Department of Earth Sciences promotes online meetings to debate and publicize research in paleontology.

In this initiative, it was already possible to hear Takehito Ikejiri (Extinction prior to the K-Pg), Erick J. Lundgren (Introduced herbivores restore Late Pleistocene ecological functions), Verónica Díez Díaz (Reconstructing hypothetical sauropod tail) among other specialists.

The next invited speakers are Luis Ceríaco, on June 22 with the lecture "Reptiles and amphibians of Portugal (in Portuguese; talk in association with Lourambi", and Serjoscha Evers, on June 29 with the theme "Ecological transitions to marine lifestyles : evidence from turtles ".
