Miguel Santos, researcher at LAQV at NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA), is the coordinator of the winning project of the second edition of Research 4 COVID-19, the special funding scheme of Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia - FCT (the Portuguese foundation for science and technology).
The winning project repurposes antimalarial and anti-Ebola drugs as Organic Salts and Ionic Liquids to prevent and fight COVID-19
FCT NOVA has, therefore, three approved research projects, recognizing that the School is committed to contributing, in the several areas of knowledge, to fighting the pandemic that the country and the world face.
