NOVA School of Science and Technology was one of the three selected winners of the 2019-2020 ERP Eco Sustainability Award, with the project “Depositrão: A redoubled look at the safety and conservation of electrical and electronic equipment”.
The successful project was developed by the students Gonçalo Santos, João Coelho, Laura Somsen, Pedro Albuquerque and Rui Mendes, from the Integrated Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
This is yet another recognition of the Faculty's effort and commitment to design a more sustainable campus, in line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and their Goals.
The 2019-2020 ERP Eco Sustainability Award results from a partnership between ERP Portugal and the European Blue Flag Association (ABAE) / Eco-Campus Program. The initiative aims for academic establishments to disseminate and raise awareness in their communities about recycling waste.
