The NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA) team, which is producing face masks, using 3D printing, provides the model it is using to expand the production capacity of this personal protective equipment.
The community with 3D printing machines is therefore invited to join the community effort and participate in the manufacture of visors for healthcare professionals.
FCT NOVA also offers to receive visors and help distribute them to the health units that request this material. The team also accepts donations of transparencies.
This is an initiative of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering in collaboration with FCT FabLab (Powered by US Embassy) and the support of teachers and students, alumni and companies such as Volkswagen, Benteler, and IDEPA (which is offering elastics), among others.
