The Gulbenkian Foundation has announced that it will provide 100,000 euros to finance digital solutions that promote public health.
As a way to promote the acceleration of responses to the situation caused by the new coronavirus, the Gulbenkian Foundation will finance up to 10 digital solutions for rapid implementation - electronic platforms or applications - that promote public health and mitigate the effects of the pandemic in Portugal.
With this initiative, which takes the form of a competition, the Foundation seeks digital solutions that:
- disseminate public health messages and reliable information associated with the pandemic;
- promote remote health care;
- promote good management of symptoms and the disease itself;
- mobilize resources and support networks;
- or that meets other needs, identified but not yet met, resulting from the pandemic.
The solutions, which may be presented by public and private entities, with or without profit, based in Portugal, will have to be free, of universal access and immediate implementation.
Applications for support under this category of the COVID-19 Emergency Fund must be submitted by April 2.
