On February 12, at 9:30 am, the Department of Chemistry of the NOVA School of Science and Technology, organizes a breakfast dedicated to the theme "The chemistry of work-life balance for women in STEAM leadership" ", in the Sala Ágora on the Caparica campus.
This initiative, which takes place at the same time in several countries around the world, aims to help women from STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) to expand their network of contacts, both locally and internationally. Women at different stages of their careers are invited to share their journey and to explore opportunities in professional development, research and teaching.
Among the guests, the event will be attended by Cecília Arraiano, biologist, geneticist, head of control of the Expression Lab gene at the António Xavier Chemical and Biological Technology Institute and passionate about life. The chemist will share her life story.
The meeting is part of the "Global Women's Breakfast", networking event of IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry), this year under the theme "Building Bonds to Create Future Leaders".
