NOVA University of Lisbon is among the top 500 universities in the world, according to the Shanghai Ranking 2019.
The Shanghai Ranking was launched in 2003 and is recognized by academia as one of the most trustworthy. Universities are ranked against six indicators, including the number of alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals, number of highly cited researchers selected by Clarivate Analytics, number of articles published in journals of Nature and Science, number of articles indexed in Science Citation Index - Expanded and Social Sciences Citation Index, and per capita performance of a university. This ranking evaluates over 1800 universities worldwide.
This result reflects the work developed by NOVA as a university institution with excellent teaching and cutting-edge research.
