Research work developed at FCT NOVA won the 2nd place of the Arquivo.pt Award, delivered during the opening session of the Ciência 2019 meeting, on the morning of 8 July.
Flávio Martins and André Mourão, researchers from NOVA LINCS, FCT NOVA's research center, competed with the project "Revisionist: Des-cobre as notícias", an online tool that allows to reveal post-publication changes in Portuguese news.
The Arquivo.pt Award aims to award annually innovative works based on historical information preserved by Arquivo.pt. The presented work must be practical applications or studies based on the information accessible through Arquivo.pt, which demonstrate the usefulness of this public service and the importance of preserving the information published on the web. Arquivo.pt is an online research platform that preserves millions of pages collected from the web since 1996 and provides a public search service on this historical information.
