In the second edition of Technovation Portugal, which aims to motivate young female adolescents to consider a career in technology, five teams resident in Portugal successfully submitted their work to the Technovation Challenge, the largest global technology entrepreneurship competition for girls between the ages of 10 and 18.
The teams presented their applications in a public session that took place on May 15 at FCT NOVA.
In this session, which marked the closing of Technovation 2019, we welcomed Ana Machado and Inês Nunes, FCT NOVA students of Computer Engineering, who spoke about their experience as young women professionals in ICT, and Diana Pinto from Vodafone, who shared some impressions about Vodafone's support for the competition, in this 2019 edition.
The Department of Informatics of FCT NOVA is, since 2018, the Regional Ambassador of the Technovation Challenge, thus representing Portugal internationally.
Congratulations to all the young people who accepted our challenge and participated in the second edition of Technovation Portugal!
