FCT Nova / Compta Team - 1st place in Hack for Good competition

The FCT Nova / Compta Team, composed by 3 students of the doctoral program in biomedical engineering in company environment, Nova I4H (instrumentation for health), whose responsible ​​/ scientific advisors are Professor Pedro Manuel Cardoso Vieira, FCT NOVA Department of Physics and Dr. Carlos Neves from the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidade de Lisboa, and for 3 engineers, obtained the 1st place at the competition "Hack for Good" organized by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

The competition "Hack for Good" is a 2-day "non-stop" marathon that aims to promote or develop technological solutions for social challenges. As of previous editions, more than 600 applications were received, that generated 308 participants and 69 subjects. This present edition registered 300 applications from which 39 were selected to participate in the final.

Our congratulations to: Ana Sousa, Maria Narciso and Rui Almeida, from this doctoral program of biomedical engineering in company environment, Nova I4H (instrumentation for health), that will earn € 5000 in cash and the opportunity to integrate a "bootcamp" for acceleration and maturation of the solution and the participation at the next "Websubmit" edition.
