VORTEX is a laboratory in Cybernetic Systems and Cybersecurity aimed to create a collaborative ecosystem between research centers, start-ups and industrial leaders in order to exploit emerging technological trends and to apply them in the development of new products that meet the new market challenges .
VORTEX is led by Altran Portugal, in association with the NOVA University of Lisbon (UNL), through NOVA LINCS, with the Instituto Politécnico do Porto / Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP / IPP) through CISTER, with Instituto de Systems and Computer Engineering - Technology and Science (INESC TEC) through HASLab and the Beta-i innovation platform.
The collaborative laboratory was launched with the presence of the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, Altran Group Vice President, Cyril Roger, Célia Reis, CEO of Altran Portugal and Rodrigo Maia, CTO of Altran Portugal and Executive Director of VORTEX. Representatives of all associated entities were also present.
VORTEX will invest in annual acceleration programs, focused on raising the level of technological maturity of new research results from scientific partners and demonstrating their applicability in new industrial products.
