Professor Elvira Fortunato was interviewed by the renowned scientific journal Chemistry World of the Royal Society of Chemistry. The interview highlights the many accomplishments of the FCT NOVA Professor throughout her career, with particular emphasis on her appointment to the High Level Group of Scientific Advisors of the EC Scientific Advice Mechanism, which aims to provide the European Commission with independent scientific advice for development of policies and legislation for the European Union.
At the end of the interview, she also left some advice for young scientists to never give up: "Listen to what people tell you, but never ignore what your own institution tells you."
