The former Civil Engineering student Pedro Patrício received honorable mention of the Young Geotechnical Engineering José Folque Prize in Portuguese Language, of the Portuguese Geotechnical Society.
The winning work is intitled "Influence of the bending resistance of retaining walls on the bottom heave of excavations in sandy soils".
The award ceremony took place on October 13, in the National Laboratory of Civil Enfineering, at the Closing Session of the 8th Young Geotechnical Engineering Meeting.
